The Process Chemistry group at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) is recruiting for 2026 Undergraduate Summer Internship Program in New Brunswick, New Jersey between Monday June 1st and Friday August 7th, 2026. The program focuses on providing a research experience for undergraduate students that highlights a career in the pharmaceutical industry for an organic chemist. This 10-week program will be hands-on in the lab and students will be introduced to the research strategies used within the Process Chemistry group at BMS and will have opportunities to learn new techniques firsthand. Research projects are selected to be tangentially related to the active portfolio of the group, thus enabling dissemination and publication of the student’s work. See below for some recent publications with the undergraduate author highlighted:

Freshmen, sophomores and juniors graduating in 2027 or later are eligible for the program. The program is collaborative and will include presentations from other departments at BMS (i.e. drug formulation, regulatory, and drug product development) to introduce students to the many different roles involved in the commercialization of new medicines. The program will conclude with an oral presentation of each student’s research at an internal research symposium. The internship is fully paid and will provide a relocation stipend, if applicable.
If you are interested, please provide via email a CV and a one-page research summary, preferably with a ChemDraw scheme, to Greg Beutner ([email protected]), by the end of the day on Monday October 13th 2025. The students must also apply to the following online job posting at the same time for full consideration:
